You can find yourself in the depths of depression with unchangeable life circumstances and find happiness again. Your nervous system can in fact be calm again. You can feel God’s love again. You don’t have to just survive, you can thrive!

How I can help

I specialize in therapy for lasting change.

  • With trauma informed training in various modalities including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Emotional Focused Therapy & trauma (EFIT), Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) I am able to use multiple approaches to treat trauma.

  • Grief comes in waves. Grief results from loss, and those losses aren’t always from death. I treat grief with compassionate understanding from loss I have endured myself, as well as using trauma modalities to soften the effects of grief on the body.

  • Imagery can have a major impact on our nervous system. Ever experienced a jump scare in a movie and feel your adrenaline pumping? Experienced a phobia or fear of something just from seeing it in the movies or on TV, not from experiencing it first hand? That’s because our brain and nervous system responds to imagery, even if in our conscious mind we can explain to ourselves that something isn’t real or we aren’t in danger. With ART we can take away the charge from those images by changing them, replacing them, and showing our brain images of the solution to our fears and sorrows.

    Considered often as a “cousin” to EMDR, ART also uses bilateral stimulation (typically eye movements) to work directly with the nervous system to reprogram the way in which distressing memories and images are stored in the brain so that they no longer trigger strong physical and emotional reactions.

    It is proven effective in treating:

    • Post Traumatic Stress (PTSD)

    • Grief

    • Phobias

    • Anxiety

    • Addiction

  • I am trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy, an attachment based couples therapy with one of the highest success rates. I can help you improve your communicate skills to deepen emotional intimacy and provide the safety to be your most true self with your partner.

  • Our attachment style has a significant impact on the way we interact with others and how we see the world. Whether I am working with a couple or individuals, my goal is to steer my clients toward health safe and secure attachment with others.
